For three decades, our sole purpose has been to ensure that our community’s most vulnerable people have access to consistent, life-giving food--food that would otherwise be thrown away. We hold a distinctive position in the efforts to alleviate local hunger. While we are not a food bank, we function uniquely as a “middle-man” agency currently collaborating with more than 200 community partners to alleviate local hunger through our Food Rescue & Delivery Program. Our “same-day” deliveries are made to a network of diverse recipient agency partners, reducing their food costs & enabling them to maximize limited resources for the many services they specialize in providing to their clients in need. wastenotaz.org YWCA The YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix is celebrating our 105th year! We are the oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization in the world. In 2016 -17 the YWCA: • Provided 96,852 meals to seniors and disabled • Provided 10,560 rides to seniors and disabled • Offered 1,507 programs and activities at Senior Centers • Graduated 516 women from “Own It” financial education program • Provided financial education programs, gratis, to 34 collaborative partners • Provided 2 wage negotiation classes to help end the gender pay gap • Empowered 550+ women through the Women’s Empowerment Series and • Young Women’s Forum • Held 10 Stand Against Racism round-table discussions throughout Phoenix Your participation in the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit program will propel our mission to Empower Women and Eliminate Racism. ywcaaz.org UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY OF CENTRAL ARIZONA UCP of Central Arizona offers programs and services for children, teens and adults with disabilities, including cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, sensory processing disorders, genetic disorders, orthopedic disabilities, birth defects, head injuries, developmental delay and other diagnoses that affect development.At UCP, we know the challenges families face when a family member has a disability.
