That’s right; we can turn $1 into seven meals. In addition, St. Mary’s Food Bank promotes self- sufficiency through comprehensive job training and placement programs. StMarysFoodBank.org Tax Code 20208 WASTE NOT Waste Not is creating sustainable food systems that help people and the planet flourish by collecting excess perishable food from businesses and delivering it to nonprofits serving people in need. Each year, 40 percent of food is thrown away. At the same time, nearly 1 million people in Arizona are struggling with food insecurity. We’re transforming this broken system by connecting tens of thousands of Arizonans with quality food that would have otherwise gone to waste. Our team of professional drivers and food rescue volunteers collects excess fresh food from local food businesses such as catering companies, resorts and event venues, and delivers that food the same day to nonprofits that provide critical community services, such as housing and employment assistance. Last year, Waste Not rescued 3.5 million pounds of food. wastenotaz.org Tax Code 20408 Qualified Charities | $400 per Individual / $800 per Married Couple FOOD BANK FOOD BANK TAX CREDIT GIVING GUIDE | FRONTDOORS MEDIA 23
