THE BE KIND PEOPLE PROJECT The Be Kind People Project® (BE KIND) offers character education programs to K-8 youth that improve the learning environment and build a generation of respectful, responsible, healthy and caring people. With children facing social, academic and mental health challenges, the need for effective youth development continues to grow. Using the skills of kindness found in The Be Kind Pledge, thousands of Title I students are provided with an evidence-based character education solution that improves academics, relationship skills and well-being. After the first year of BE KIND School programs, results include: • 11 percent higher academic improvement on standardized test scores • 19 percent reduction in behavior referrals A tax credit donation of $400 supports 53 students, and $800 supports 4 classrooms with the character education skills to be successful now and in the future.
